Passionate About What You Are Doing?

Share!

My church sponsors a missionary that has a soccer ministry in Austria. He is passionate about the task the Lord has assigned him and cannot understand why others don’t see the importance of his ministry.

If you visit the Perspectives headquarters, you will find an entire company of people who are passionate about the spread of the Perspectives on the World Christian Movement curriculum. After all, it tells the story of how the Lord has used His people to spread the gospel around the globe from the time of Christ ’til now. The material is prepared and presented by the best and the brightest minds in missions. The Perspectives team is motivated by their consistent observation of the impact this college level course has on the lives of those who attend; it changes their lives.

Similarly, we at MissionNext are passionate about those that start their journey to get connected with a mission assignment by completing a Profile on our website. Christ-followers begin to see how the Lord can use them, regardless of their past. They experience the thrill of realizing that it is possible “for even me” to make a significant impact!

In the examples above, those working their assigned task are impassioned by working in their areas of strength. You may say, “What about me?” If you were given 15 minutes to speak on national TV on any subject, what would your message be? It would be a useful experience for you to prepare that speech and share it with someone. Share it with the Lord.

Don’t settle for activities that fail to energize you. Work in the strengths the Lord has given you. To find areas of service that you are passionate about, complete a profile at MissionNext and see how the Lord has wired you to make a kingdom-difference.

  1. Hi Nelson,

I saw your article and thought you might be interested in how the Career Fit Test could be used by those visiting MissionNext.org. The results of the Career Fit Test allow users to identify their transferable, personal and content skills. Also, users receive a code for exploring career and volunteer options. If you are interested, I would be glad to set up a time to demo the Career Fit Test and discuss how it could benefit those using the resources of MissionNext.org.
